LIMAY RIVER FLOAT
NORTHERN PATAGONIA
If you’re hunting big trout in Patagonia, this is the trip. The Middle Limay is a large, slow-moving tailwater that carves through a desert canyon landscape. It’s home to the largest brown trout in the region—truly powerful fish that cruise ledges, drop-offs, and bank structure in search of big meals.
SET Fly Fishing has designed a program around multi-day floats, covering over 80 miles of river from source to reservoir. You’ll fish a different section each day, stopping at comfortable riverside camps each night. There’s no better way to stay close to the water, fish rested beats, and soak in the full experience of the Limay.

2026 DETAILS
This float trip has become one of Tim's favorites and it's also where many of the SET guides go to fish for themselves at the end of the season. Fishing all day, camping under the stars at night after a fabulous meal . . . it just doesn't get any better than that!
